Julian, this is only see you later but not goodbye. This day is extremely painful and at the same time I know that you are at peace with Jesus because you accepted Him, loved Him and lived for Him. I remember when my Mother asked to share scriptures with Julian and when she gave us some of his favorite scriptures which were 1 Peter 4:13 "But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed" and 1 Corinthians 16:14 "Let all that you do be done in love". WOW! These scriptures are all Julian!!! I have never seen a person suffer so much and be in such pain and everything was about love and the Glory of the Lord is revealed to Julian now! Even though he was in pain, he always had a smile, never grew bitter, kept others encouraged and had a determination and strength that was exceptional. He never failed to say "I love you Aunt Penny" every time that I spoke with him or texted him. The love was apparent in every word and action towards me and others. We all are travellers through life and Julian's life is an example of what life is all about. This time here on earth is for a short while but eternity is so much more! This is the sweet hope that I know and why I will see him later: I Thessalonians 4:13-18 "Brothers and Sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him." Also, 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 "O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." It was and is a true gift to have him as my Nephew. Our bodies will go one day but the spirit does not. Julian is truly free. I have so much more to say but I will just say thank you Julian forever for your light in this world.
